  30. Is that the case though, if we only want to be able to communicate
  31. with the deaf, but don't have anyone here that is deaf?  
  32. We want to be able to communicate with our deaf customers (when we
  33. can't convince them (or they aren't able to use) talk or IRC.) We can
  34. go through the "utah relay operator service" but this is awkward.

  36. I recently asked a USR salesman about it, and he was hesitant when I
  37. mentioned V.18, then he muttered something about their supporting all
  38. official CCITT V.xx standards (where's the V.35 port???).  I mentioned
  39. it was the deaf TTY thing and he switched from being hesitant to "Yes,
  40. we support that".  So, when this thing (MP/16) arrives monday or
  41. tuesday, we'll have to see, especially in light of the several "no, it
  42. doesn't" comments i've seen so far.
